A charming vintage David Winter Cottages “Ebenezer Scrooge’s Counting House” Christmas ornament, produced by John Hine Studios and based on the original cottage designs of renowned English sculptor David Winter.
This miniature architectural collectible depicts Scrooge’s counting house from Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol, rendered as a snow-covered Tudor-style building with dark timber detailing, brickwork, tall chimney and winding stone paths. The compact scale and intricate sculptural details give it the storybook character associated with David Winter’s collectible cottages.
The original underside label remains intact and identifies the piece as part of the David Winter Cottages Christmas Ornaments collection, “Ebenezer Scrooge’s Counting House,” by John Hine Studios, based on original designs by David Winter and made in Thailand.
A wonderful addition to a David Winter collection, Dickens-inspired Christmas display, traditional holiday village or collection of miniature English architecture.
