A charming miniature from the collectible David Winter Cottages line, The Grange captures the character of an old English Tudor-style country house in an intricately detailed Christmas ornament.
This particular miniature is the 1993 Christmas Ornament edition of The Grange, produced by John Hine Studios and based on an original David Winter design. Collector references confirm that The Grange Christmas ornament was both released and retired in 1993, making it a single-year issue.
The miniature features the architectural detailing associated with David Winter cottages and includes a hanging element so it can be displayed as a Christmas tree ornament while also functioning as a small collectible village piece.
The underside retains its original green felt base and identification label, clearly marked:
David Winter Cottages THE GRANGE © John Hine Studios based on original David Winter designs Made in China
This is specifically the miniature ornament edition and should not be confused with the larger 1988 Landowners Collection version of The Grange. The larger sculpture measures approximately 6¼ inches and was released in 1988, whereas this ornament version is approximately 2 inches tall and dates to 1993.
A wonderful addition to a David Winter collection, English cottage collection, miniature Christmas village, or traditional holiday display.
